I am a photographer based in West London and Essex. As well as being a photo-journalist for well over a decade, I’ve been a regular freelance photographer for local authorities and PR companies too. These roles have seen me shooting many events and in many situations, covering editorial, corporate, and commercial assignments as well as private functions and weddings.
The year 2014 has brought new and exciting changes for me and my family. I am now living the dream on a narrowboat with my wife, daughter and three dogs in West London, waving goodbye to long-time colleagues at the local newspaper, and having a weekend home in Essex where I plan to establish my freelance photography services further afield. My passion for taking a picture goes back to 1988, when my school teacher encouraged me to pick up an old Canon AT1. After studying photography at a London art college I jumped on the career ladder as a b/w printer, and over 25 years later my passion is still as strong, if not stronger than ever.
I love a retro camera, my favourite being a cute little 1950’s Zeiss Icon.
So if you have a passion for photography take a look at my blog, I hope you enjoy what you see.
All lovely photos as always! Thank you again Toby for all your help.” ~ Dawn Coomber
